Reunion Recap

On Saturday, September 7th, during the business meeting, members voted to integrate the Oliver Family Reunion Association and integrate with the Cades Cove Preservation Association (CCPA). This decision reflects our commitment to preserving the legacy of Cades Cove by joining forces with an organization dedicated to its ongoing care. Through this partnership, we’ll help support important efforts like maintaining the Primitive Baptist Church, conducting guided tours, and curating historical artifacts. Together, we’re ensuring that future generations can continue to experience and appreciate the rich history of The Cove.

  • All $12 dues that have been paid prior to Sept. 9, 2024 for the Oliver Reunion Association 2024-2025 year will be paid to the CCPA and supplemented to pay the CCPA $20/year dues. The CCPA form (with Oliver Reunion Association written on top) must be sent in to receive the membership.
  • The Oliver Reunion, our longstanding tradition of connecting every year, will continue. 2025 dates will follow in coming months.
  • The Oliver Reunion website will still be maintained by myself, Tally Ham, with the support of my husband Matt Ham, and The MediaBeast Marketing Group.
  • The Oliver Reunion’s group of volunteers will continue to keep regular communication with its members via email marketing, website, and social media
  • We will stay connected and hold committee chair positions with the CCAP to continue our commitment of the Cove and representation of The Olivers.
